Noorat Primary School

Noorat is a friendly, vibrant and highly motivated learning community. We are committed to providing dynamic and inclusive learning environments where we empower students to achieve their academic and personal growth so they will thrive in their future and contribute actively to their community.

Established in 1873 we have a proud history of providing high quality education for our community within a modern, welcoming and nurturing environment. Our school values of Excellence, Care, Respect and Responsibility are evident in everything we do.

Over the past few years, a vast array of changes have been implemented, including a strong focus on student engagement and wellbeing. We know the opportunities offered to all students enable them to develop into determined young people who exhibit confidence and a strong sense of self.

Our strengths include the personalised approach that we can offer in teaching and learning, small group work to develop creativity and collaborative skills, as well as hands-on experiences - such as breeding and caring for farm animals, as well as creating environmental trails and connecting with our local community through events and newsletters.

We have high expectations for the learning of all students and believe that every child can achieve and be successful. Noorat Primary consists of a highly professional and committed staff, all of whom view meeting the diverse needs of our students as a priority.

Quality programs are offered to all students in the Art, Physical Education, MARC library, STEAM and Environmental Studies which includes a kitchen / garden program. We also offer Hands on Learning to boost student engagement and learn lifelong skills in a meaningful way whilst giving back to the school and local community. Our teaching and learning programs offer a comprehensive and successful education to meet the needs of a rapidly changing 21st century. Our staff are collaborating with other small schools in our area to ensure we are following best practice and continually reflecting on our research-based programs.
